Metta Chanting for Hong Kong

During this unsettled time in Hong Kong, let us use love and compassion to pacify our minds, and wisdom to transform our troubles. I encourage everyone to continue our practice, and kindly recite and dedicate the following Metta chant for Hong Kong. May the power of everyone’s strong vow help Hong Kong and all of its citizens return to peace and harmony.

May I be free from enmity and danger.
May I be free from mental suffering.
May I be free from physical suffering.
May I be happy and at ease.

May all my family members and friends be free from enmity and danger.
May they be free from mental suffering.
May they be free from physical suffering.
May they be happy and at ease.

May all citizens of Hong Kong be free from enmity and danger.
May they be free from mental suffering.
May they be free from physical suffering.
May they be happy and at ease.

May Hong Kong citizens’ minds be open and at peace.
May they help each other with mutual trust.
May they support each other with love and compassion.
May any place they go be safe.
May they be happy and at ease.

May all beings be free from suffering.
May whatever they have gained through correct actions not be lost.
May all beings correctly use their karma and make correct life.
May Hong Kong soon return to peace and harmony.
