The 18th Introduction to Zen Meditation Course - ITZM 18

The upcoming “Introduction to Zen Meditation” course will be held in September and October 2025.
This course consists of three full-day sessions and a one-day retreat, held over four consecutive Sundays at Hae Su Zen Center on Lantau Island. Participants will have the opportunity to learn in in the natural environment. 

The course will be led by our guiding teachers, monastics, and senior students, and it will introduce participants to Zen and the basic forms of practice, including bowing, chanting, and sitting. 

No previous experience is required, and all are welcome. Full participation is required. Teachers: Zen Master Dae Kwan & Bon Sun Sunim, JDPS

Sunday Full-day Sessions
Date: 14, 21, 28 September, 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 10 am - 6pm
Venue: Hae Su Zen Center, Lantau Island (Transport will be provided from Tung Chung, gathering time at 8:45am.)

One Day Retreat
Date: 5 October, 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Venue:  Hae Su Zen Center, Lantau Island (Transport will be provided from Tung Chung, gathering time at 8:45am.)

Fee Options: 
Support in full: $2,200 
Support according to your situation: $2,000 
(If you have financial hardship, please let us know the amount you are comfortable with.)

Remarks: The fee includes lunch and round-trip transportation between Tung Chung and Luk Wu. No refunds will be provided. The fee will be used to support Su Bong Zen Monastery’s teaching fund.
Participants must attend all sessions. Upon completion of the course, they will receive a certificate of completion and become eligible to participate in our Winter Retreat.
